We’re all back and rested from an eventful Vision Expo West. It was so great to see so many of our members, friends, and sponsor companies at all of the OWA events during the show. The first OWA event of the show took place on Thursday, September 15th, and featured a panel of speakers at the annual Connection Series Luncheon, sponsored by VSP Vision.

Streamed live on Facebook, OWA members near and far were able to tune into the Connection Series Luncheon moderated by our very own Trudi Charest, author of The Digital Sales Rep. Joining Trudi on stage was a panel of experts including Amy Jantz, Sherianne James, and Dana Schwarzinger discussing the future of the eyecare industry and building your personal brand.

On Friday evening, the OWA was back at it with the annual Networking and Raffle event featuring tons of donated items from our sponsor companies that were put up for the online silent auction as well as the live raffle drawing in Vegas. It was so much fun connecting with all our industry friends and bidding on all the items available at the event. To see more photos from the evens, visit the full album.

On Saturday the OWA sponsored the Career Zone Student Lounge, a hub where optometry students and young professionals could connect with hiring companies and explore career resources while taking part in other events. OWA member, Dr. Beverly Bianes moderated a panel of speakers discussing work/life balance. Any students looking to join the OWA can do so at our student member rate of $55/year, and joining now through the end of the year allows your membership to be effective through December 2023!
